Trio Esprit

The Amôn Quartet was formed in 2008 by four fascinating musicians, wishing to pass on, share, and to communicate their passion for music. They began at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in the class of Guy Danel and shortly after joined the training ProQuartet-CEMC in Paris, and residence of the Queen Elizabeth Music Chapel, which allowed them to receive, in particular, the guidance of Quatuor Artémis, Louis Fima(Quatuor Arpeggione), Paul Katz (Cleaveland Quartet), Eberhard Feltz, Valentin Erben et Hatto Beyerlé (Alban Berg Quartet), Vaclav Remes and Joseph Kluson (Prazak Quartet). Recognized in Belgium, Quatour Amôn is a beneficiary of the subvention from the Francophone community of Belgium.

Since its creation, the Amôn Quartet has strived to create projects involving other arts, such as theater and dance. They played with comedian Ivan Golovin, presenting music and 20th century Russian poetry, and in 2012 participated in the project “DanseXmusic”, hosted by " La Monnaie ", in association with dancer and teacher Teresa de Keersmaeker.  Last year the quartet was a part of the world premiere of “Spring Quartet, a piece created by Simon Thierrée, for string quartet and two dancers.

For Amôn, it is essential to regularly collaborate with other musicians, and to explore a broad range of repertoire. Among the musicians they have worked with are: Guy Danel (founding member of  Quatuor Danel), violist Paul De Clerck (professeur at Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles), theclarinetist Jean-Michel Charlier (National Orchestra of Belgium), clarinetist Pierre Génisson (Bretagne Symphony Orchestra), violinist Jean-Frédéric Molard (Wallonie Chamber Orchestra).          Since its debut, Quatour Amôn has preformed throughout Europe: France (Festival de Saintes, Festival International de Musique de Chambre en Poitou,  Festival « Musique dans le Grésivaudan), Belgium (Festival des « Midis-Minimes » de Bruxelles, Festival de l’Eté Mosan), and in Luxembourg (Festival du Château de Bourglinster). In 2011 Quatour Amôn won third prize in the 25th European Chamber Music competition of Fnapec in Paris.

A Tribute to Polish Composers

This project was created to promote Polish music, to showcase Poland's famous works and to discover those less known. In the summer 2012 we had the pleasure to tour China where audiences were very enthusiastic to discover the music of Chopin's motherland. The latest concerts were linked to the International Korczak Association's meetings in Poland and Belgium, where the composition "In memory of Janusz Korczk" by contemporary Polish composer Barbara Kaszuba was the leading work. We are also proudly presenting our project at private events, and it has been a great honour to intrduce our music to various international audiences.

Natalia Brzewska (violin) and Tomoyo Masuda (piano) met in 2010 at the “Rencontres Musicales Internationales de Wallonie” in Wavre, Belgium where they both performed for the festivals’ gala concert in Hotel de Ville. They were awarded scholarships from Fundacio Pedro i Pons (Barcelona), Fondation Chopin (Brussels) and the Government of Wallonie-Bruxelles for their Master studies at Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles. They have been working together as a duo in the class of Daniel Rubenstein, Veronique Bogaerts and Jean-Claude Vanden Eyden. Their repertoire includes masterworks of W.A.Mozart, L. van Beethoven, J.Brahms and R.Strauss. Since they began playing together they have performed in various concert venues in Bruxelles such as Grande Salle of Conservatoire Royal, Musee des Instruments de Musique, Maison Communale de Watermael-Boisfort, Palais des Académies, as well as the Polish and Japanese embassies. In addition to performing in the traditional concert settings they aim to bring classical music outside the concert hall, and as a result they have been performing for Ligue Braille, and have planned a series of concerts in “ Cantine le Fonograf Art Café” . They collaborate with other musicians as a trio and a piano quartet.

Evoeh is a Project that began life in 2005 as a vocal duo with guitar accompaniment. Since then, it has sought to bring out the varied colours of different types of traditional music, to recognise its history and to help us to appreciate our past. Now the group comprises six members, having added an oboist and a string trio.

To this end the group has worked on compositions, transcriptions and arrangements of diverse pieces,

from Sephardic vocal melodies to great classical symphonies, with the aim of bringing out the essence of what it is that has made this music so popular.
